Go Bananas Te Rapa

Go Bananas Te Rapa, a centre renowned for its engaging and supportive learning environment, collaborated with Play’n’Learn for a complete fit-out. The objective was to design, manufacture, and install furniture and learning resources that embody their philosophy of fun-filled, quality education while ensuring compliance with Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health standards.

Design Elements:

Natural Furniture: Utilising natural wood finishes to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that promotes a connection with nature. The furniture is designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.
Age-Appropriate Spaces: Custom-designed areas for different age groups, ensuring that each space supports the specific developmental needs of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Interactive Learning Stations: Flexible and mobile furniture pieces that can be rearranged to create dynamic learning stations, promoting engagement and interaction among children.
Bright and Airy Classrooms: Large windows and open spaces to ensure classrooms are filled with natural light, creating a vibrant and stimulating learning environment.
Outdoor Play Areas: Safe and well-designed outdoor spaces that encourage physical activity and exploration, vital for holistic child development.

Play’n’Learn’s Scope:

Spatial & Interior Design: Crafting functional and inspiring indoor and outdoor environments tailored to the needs of children.
Custom Furniture Design: Designing furniture to meet the specific needs of various age groups and learning activities, with a focus on safety, durability, and sustainability.
FF&E Manufacture & Install: Ensuring all furniture, fixtures, and equipment are expertly manufactured and installed, ready for Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health sign-offs.
Education Environment Compliance: Guaranteeing all elements meet stringent safety and compliance standards.

Outcome:

The project successfully transformed Go Bananas Te Rapa into a vibrant and dynamic learning hub. The fit-out not only enhances the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the space but also ensures it is compliant and safe. This transformation supports the centre’s mission to provide high-quality, fun-filled education, empowering children to discover, grow, and learn in a nurturing setting.
